'Yaadaan Teriyaan' is a lament. A lament to a lost love. A lament to a life, that once was. But like memories always do, they make us smile and shed a tear, all at once... With this video, director Jaydeep Sarkar wished to weave Kailash Kher's roots in Kashmir and his memories of the place and its people, that make a montage of not just faces... but smiles and innocence, of hope and joy. Despite it's scarred past, what has triumphed in Kashmir is the absolute innocence of it's people and the sheer thrill of celebrating life. It's many cultures and myriad religions... This video is Kailash Kher, a Kashmir poet's ode to his land, whose people smile the brightest even under the shadow of an intense history.
